Why do my farts smell like pumpkin today? Not cooked pumpkin, not pumpkin spice, like a pumpkin that you're carving for Halloween.

I suppose it's putting the pump in pumpkin.

Yeah, I wonder about NG occasionally. Hope they're doing well.

Also, I wonder if I've made similar impacts in online communities I just forgot about/dropped out of. Is there a post out there going "I wonder where delphonso is"

I was wondering where delphonso was when you were gone for a bit.

Also I really hope Toady doesn't have to update the forum to fix it because the other forum I'm on updated and I can't post on it any more.

Today seems better. Yesterday, I could barely reach the forums. It was like, 2-3 hours of 504 errors, then sometimes I would get through, 2 minutes later, back to hours of 504 errors.

Transferring job. Management downplays accomplishments on my way out to my promotion. Not to worry. I know what I did and so do they (deny as they may). It's funny how ego works. O well, I have my promotion and transfer and ducks in a row.

It's an odd feeling, seeing a man desperately trying not to look you in the eye because he realizes you deserve better, as your supervisor gives him a death glare and then see him absolutely floored when you absolve him of the sins of his superiors, which he had no choice in.
All I said was, "I know. Also, not your narrative. Not your fault."

Eh. O well. Hopefully bigger and better in slightly different but related place.

Apparently, I was more well liked than I thought at work. I basically never caused any issues or only did so when absolutely necessary, and tactically to avoid harm.
I guess word got out and every single department head and tons of staff showed up to wish me well in my new position/transfer.
It was blatantly obvious they were going out of their way to praise me in view of the one manager who clearly didn't like me / was trying to down play things I did / steal credit.
They all thanked me. Several said their departments would have failed at critical moments without me had I not dome what I did, etc. All the while that one manager is just steaming.
Two of them offered me glowing letters of recommendation on the spot and took me out to dinner rather than a bar because they know I can't drink with my disabilities.
One of them got me a Christmas gift. Several said I taught them their jobs and encouraged them when they felt overwhelmed. (and that made that one upset manager even more upset, because he claims he did that).

I was quite surprised by this overall.

Congrats Truean. It is so gratifying to just be who you are and have that roundly acknowledged by everyone as a good thing.
