Decided to use the speech recognition thing on the YT app on my PS5 to find a video.

Winter Olympics Australian speech guitar was the search term it decided I wanted (speech recognition is woeful with Scottish accents) but it did at least give me the video I was looking for.

The only disappointing thing about that link is they're not actually blindfolded, the pieces are just invisible (and position placed listed, what a cop out!).

... had to look up what ultra bullet chess was, though. For those in a similar position, it's a variant where you only have like, 10 seconds total time to play your pieces. Not ten seconds per move, ten seconds total, for the entire game. Neat concept, pretty sure I did that by accident occasionally back when I played fairly often at school, heh.

Yeah though there's no standardised time controls in chess, and from what I can tell he is playing 15 second with a .2 sec increment.

Traditional blindfold where someone is reading out the moves would be impossible with those time controls, due to the time it takes to speak and move the pieces.

Note his opponents aren't blindfolded, it's an ordinary lichess tournament.

Honestly, I don't think I've heard of news coming out of maryland, like. Ever? Other states at least are the bunt of a joke sometimes, but. Are we sure MD actually exists? Has anyone checked recently?
