I just realized that sealed containers of liquified gases are perfect energy accumulators.

What you need from an accumulator is to release energy on demand, to be rechargeable, to have low losses when not in use, and to have constant output from full to almost empty.

Liquified gas in a metal canister fills all these categories.

1. It can be easily opened and closed with a valve.
2. It can be refilled.
3. If you choose a correct gas, metal, and liner combination, you will have no leakage.
4. The power output depends on pressure in the tank, size of the opening, and gas' molar mass. So long as there is any liquified gas left, is the gas' saturated vapor pressure, size of the opening is under your control, and the gas' molar mass is constant.

Of course, if you chose a flammable gas, after using the gas' pressure energy, you could also consume it's chemical energy by burning it.
