The irony of this news was that yesterday I was speculatively thinking about what would happen if the queen somehow lived to become 200. Maybe all the nutritionists and healthcare staff she had around her could preserve her life like a dry cave preserves a 1000 year old scroll. Ready to disintegrate with the slightest breeze, but making sure that breeze never comes.

It almost feels like I willed that death into existence with the sheer power of irony.
