Apparently, right now in Kiev waste paper is accepted for six times the usual pay (still small peny, of course) if text therein is in russian (or was it specifically books?). God-damned fanatics.

On the other hand, since if you offer over 50 kgs at a time, they'll take it away from your home, my mother decided it is right time to dispose of ancient magazines that make arms (not hands) itch when you touch them and some books that nobody will EVER read. At that pricing, 50 kgs would total to, ah, about a seventh of what is needed to properly stock up on groceries.

Rescue services are looking for survivors from a mystery plane crash near Hoek van Holland.
Plane wreckage of a small plane was found in the Caland canal, amongst which a plane wing, parts with a registration number, some clothing and a life vest.
Air traffic control is baffled, they have had no planes disappear from their radar.
Coast guard and fire service are searching the coast. Later this evening, an underwater drone will be deployed.
The wreckage was found at the entrance to Maasvlakte 1 and 2, a very busy shipping route to Rotterdam harbor.
No ships have seen any plane crash.
Regional security control has no idea when the plane crashed.
The registration numbers are being investigated to try and shed some light on the plane's identity and origins.

My best guess is drug dealers caught in bad weather.

Smugglers, probably. Other thought that came to mind was it was being hauled on a boat and fell off into the canal without anybody noticing, but the owners would have claimed it.

I wouldn't have thought drug smugglers would try to fly a plane through Holland, it being so densely populated and flat. If they're under the radar altitude someone would have noticed and reported them, right? They only get away with that on the mexican/american/canadian borders because of the low population density and mountain ranges. You could probably fly from Mexico to Canada unnoticed if you used private airports in the mountains to refuel,
