Oddly, it caused a large movement for a better tutorial/new player experience in the game, infamous for its learning cliff.

Who plays DOTA (or any MOBA, for that matter), and gets legitimately emotionally invested in the characters beyond "I like this character because better meta"? What lore is even in there? This can't be "DOTA: The Netflix Series", it has to be "A Netflix Series (Based Very Loosely on DOTA)".

Just judging from the cover, it looks like generic fantasy anime schlock. I was hoping for something along the lines of "DOTA: Diary of a Jungler" or "DOTA: The Rage of the Toxic Players".

All the Dota heroes have had some kind of backstory since forever. Just because there isn't an in-game storyline doesn't mean there can't be story!

...but it does look kinda mediocre. Also since when is Davion literally Guts?!

Yeah, that's one thing I like about a lot of League doujins, they tend to lean into the memes and culture of the genre.

I dunno what you mean by "freshman", but a year has passed since last semester, so maybe no? But it's only my second semester, so maybe yes? I dunno. I'm not familiar with "freshman/sophomore/whatever", I just never used those terms.

Second year of a four year, yeah. From what I saw you tend to get your worst roomies in that first year, with the biggest problems dropped out or found/forced to find somewhere else to live by the second. If you're past that point it's a lot more likely to be okay (or for you to be able to trade places with some other room's trouble residents, eventually ending up with one room of chill folks just trying to get by).

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I can't find Catto nor her kittens at all. I don't see a single cat in the dorm block I last saw her in, nor any cat food left out. I haven't searched the whole place yet, so maybe she's migrated to a different block within the whole dorm. I'll search for her when I cycle this evening. Worst-case, I could adopt another cat, since I've been relocated to the ground floor.

In other news, someone took away the water coolers in my current dorm (not the one Catto was in). All of them. I hope it's just for maintenance, but goddamn it, I want some water, and I want it now!
