Why are these people not reprimanded?  Where are the editors? Who's responsible for approving this shoddy workmanship?

They have a dozens of editor, who should of caught this.

The comma thing is considered acceptable in certain circumstances, with the understanding that it can affect clarity. Although "can affect clarity in writing, which is your job" means they shouldn't be doing it.

I wouldn't wade into the Oxford comma debate if I were you. Men have died over it, probably.
Disregarding my own advice, of course my position is that the Oxford comma is always mandatory, and anyone who disagrees should take it up with my parents, the Virgin Mary and God.

Ah, you deliberately left out the comma, now I get the joke.
I try to suppress the grammar-*$#@ in me, but failed that time.

I doubt they have any more than a single, titular editor, maybe one actual editor for big, important pieces. Editors has been completely redundancied out of the business by the internet news pace.

Shame, I do editing work for the family business and I got quite good at it. I was hoping that leveraging those skills in the job market would have been an available option for me.

I mean... it is. Just not as much of one as it used to be, or more in fields that isn't the news. There's still a market for editors, it's just fairly crowded and not as valuable as it once was, from what I understand.

The skill itself can help in any number of jobs, though it's more of a "keep your ass from getting fired for crit failing a typo check in an important message" thing than a door opener :P

I've spent parts of the past week researching for and preparing a presentation that's due tomorrow.

The presentation is on FATAL.

Yes, that FATAL.

My mind hurts.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?

Someone's attempt at making a "more realistic" fantasy RPG system that accidentally got derailed into fetish porn, as so many things do.

The very same.

What is FATAL and why does it have a butt grid
Arguably the worst RPG ever created. All 980 pages of (the revised edition of) it.

And there's something bad on every page. Every goddamn page. Even the fucking publishing page where they mention the typeface is bad. I swear to unholy fuck.

Someone who really likes numbers but isn't actually good at math tries to write a "realistic", "historical" RPG (without actually knowing anything about history or reality), but keeps getting distracted by horny along the way.

And the barely-even-disguised misogyny and racism.

And the system mechanics that make the game an utterly unplayable mess of table calls and back-referencing.

And the character sheets that are actually 10 pages long (before spells).

And the Urination skill checks.

And the 1d10,000,000
