depending upon magic limitations and the exact nature of magic technology might either let wizards cast more spells or allow them for save their effort/energies for less mundane, automatic, 'secondary', or requisite spells.

Something like making intricate shapes on the ground, carving vessels/containers, maintaining air pockets/pressure, automated defense, PDAs.  Wizards could really save some time and effort if they used some technology.  And there's always lazy people, wizard or not.

For something as simple as moving water through pipes, enchantments could work just as well or even better than their technological counterparts, so a low tech but high magic society could end up with something which very closely resembles a modern sewage system through convergent evolution.
