Like those big bags of chips that when you open them it you find the bag is 1/3 chips and everything else was air.

Yeah, that's supposedly a packaging thing or... something. I've had it explained to me once by someone that did the work involved, years and years ago. They do it that way to keep things from messing up in transit or production or somethin' like that.

The weight on it is supposed to be accurate, though. Like most things, if you're looking for value you need to be eyeballing price per unit (weight for food, generally) instead of whatever the sticker price is.

I believe they're filled with nitrogen, both for cushioning and to preserve the chips.

My corn snake just had his first explosive poop in the five years I've had him. Travelled a good two feet across his terrarium, splattering a line of dung and concentrated urea paste in it's path before impacting with the far wall with a thud.

It was quite an odd sight to see.

And have you seen a chicken poop? Afterwords their outer cloaca does a double figure-8, one squeeze vertically and one horizontally, I guess to shake it off.

Oh yeah, I came here because this week and for every week from now on my CEO/boss is making every employee take a nasal swab for corona. When last week they said they couldn't swab me a second week in a row because it costs too much and made me get a swab at my own expense. I'm gonna try and get them to pay for it.

I have indeed seen chickens poop, we keep them in the back garden. The way the cloaca flexes out looks like a sockpuppet made of cheap rubber trying to wipe paint off itself without touching anything other than itself. It was not a pleasant thing to see during a barbeque.

So my snake decided to shed shortly after pooping, fair enough it probably made him thinner, but he somehow managed to not land it in faeces or urea despite having a big curve in his body through the area he had scatter blasted. I'm kind of impressed.
