Not even three days, and my job has run out of all but small-sized and (useless) food-service gloves. Even weirder, less than 1/3 of everyone are actually wearing gloves(everyone is required to), so where did all these gloves go?

Maybe but maybe not. There are examples where something that's been acronymed then has a word or two added that are actually in the acronym. The most common example being "ATM machine".

Maybe but maybe not. There are examples where something that's been acronymed then has a word or two added that are actually in the acronym. The most common example being "ATM machine".
Probably many people say ATM machine to differentiate it from other meanings of ATM, such as "at the moment".
