I think Pathos was a thing when I first joined, but I lived in the upper boards then.  I had no real exposure to Pathos.

OrangeWizard and GWG however, I got to experience.


OrangeWizard was not all that bad, as I recall. He could get very passionate about things though, which is what I suspect got him the ban.
GWG had aspergers like behaviors, and could become belligerent. I got into internet tussles with him a few times. He had some good points, but was difficult to interact with a good deal of the time.

OW was incredibly chill 99.9% of the time, he just had a pretty laissez-faire attitude to slurs (in particular). He got banned for making a somewhat tasteless joke about lynchings.

Naw, he got banned for the Kek Square and its unfortunate resemblance to a certain acronym, didn't he? Though I must admit I don't remember quite what discussion actually spawned it.

Yeah, his banning was a little controversial I think. But I also think it was at the time that one of the other very passionate social justice people who's name I can't remember got banned and he used to enjoy antagonising them which didn't help.

All I can remember is GreatWyrmGold being pretty active in FGRP and had some tendencies which grated against me, although what those are I cannot say.
Trying to remember the first person I knew who got banned. I came in after Pathos. Armok, maybe, or whoever that person with the O name who kept on posting lewds was.

As Reelya says, it's driven not developed by an AI.

Rimworld was made by a human called Tynan as I recall. The AI storyteller referred to in the description is one of three settings in game that determine how events scale over time in the game. One is programmed to throw a consistent steady pace of mixed threats and good events, one gives you long periods of time in between bad events and gives lots of good events, one is mostly random and can throw bad event after bad event at you sometimes. The game is heavily inspired by dwarf fortress and tries to create emergent stories as the game continues.

I'm just quoting this because otherwise I'd end up posting the same thing. I think I actually was around for the very end of VN but at the time I just lurked and sometimes posted in the upper boards.

Still got fond memories of the Second Penguin War though.
