Remarkably helpful sounding description, though. Promise of lots of spare parts, plenty of up-front warning about issues, breakdown of potential costs, etc. Everything else aside that's like an A-grade selling blurb for small scale second hand mecha.

So a popular news publication here in Norway recently did a piece talking about how the Green party was "demanding" that school lunches should be vegetarian.

My take on it was "Okay, so it'll most likely be less expensive overall (possibly helping lead to school lunch programs actually getting fucking implemented in the first place, which they aren't), more readily accommodating of religious/cultural differences and thereby again cut costs, and there's the side benefit of reducing processed/red meat intake and also maybe something about the environment. Sounds pretty decent to me, actually".


But there was a comments section. Oh lord, the comments section. You'd think the Greens were holding the government at gunpoint and demanding violent genital mutilation of all citizens, considering the responses being written to the suggestion that the school-provided lunches which don't even fucking exist yet should be meat-free by default.

Now, I'm not actually a big fan of the Greens... They have a tendency to act like idiots. But I don't think this move, of all things, should be enough to constitute outlawing the entire party; as some Facebook geniuses are trying to push.

No, no, this is not an attempt by the Green party to poison and malnourish your child, you fucking mong. It's five fucking meals a week. Your kid will survive.

Does the "demanding" extend to the school lunches the kids take in themselves, or just the school's own lunches? I could see why people would be upset about the former, though not to this extent.

Just the food provided by the school. Specifically, this is a demand being made of Labor's election promise of free school lunches... Which, again, don't exist yet.

So they're up in arms about the restrictions being placed on the free food they're not even getting.

At work they tried to demand that I stay late to finish the work left behind by the jackasses who don't do anything while allowing said jackasses to go home. I wasn't having any of that. Plus, we(my mom and I) have to pick up my little sister from her job on the way home, and if we don't get there soon enough, she decides to start walking.

Also, they've started doing this to me again. Those are some of the photos from my old phone, taken from where I'm working facing towards the only way out of my work area(the opposite side of me is a wall).

I work nights so I sleep during the day.  While I was trying to sleep I got 1 call every hour from the same number (my own phone number).  Normally after the 2nd call I turn off the phone, but my mom was going to the doctor today so I wanted to keep it on in case of emergency.  So I essentially got no sleep, under the worry that every time the phone rang it was the doctor.

While looking through the phone log they call again and I end up accidentally answering, because my phone uses the answer button as the scroll down button.  Turns out they wanted to try and scam my computer.  At which point I told the person on the other side that he can cut the act because he does not look very legit when he's calling from my own number.  At which point he gave me a 'fuck you' and hung up.  Fortunately, after that they stopped calling, though I'm sure I've been put on some further list saying I'm a live person.

How the hell has this stuff not been stopped yet?  Technology to verify caller id is accurate already exists, and it seems pretty goddamn basic even without it to stop any calls where the source and destination number are the same and it's coming from an outside line.  How the hell has this been a problem going on 10 fucking years?  I would think Microsoft at least would be lobbying to stop this shit since they always claim to be them.

My school orange juice tasted like alcohol a few times when I was in second or third grade. Widespread rumor was that the cartons were so old they'd started to ferment. That was the last year the cafeteria served orange juice, lending credence to the idea.
