A sharpened spoon is basically just an unusual curette knife, without the hole. See also, hide scraper. (Some of those actually look like spoons.)


My own wtf;

After getting my printer working, I have been undertaking the arduous task of disassembling an old (and worn out) set of medical scrubs, to convert them into a fabric pattern.  Wondering if there were other things I might consider trying to sew, I went looking for free fabric patterns, and to my horror, there appear to be no reliable archives of such things!

Sure, there's sites that have INDEXED all the "for sale" tissue paper sewing patterns that have graced store shelves for 60+ years, but no actual zip archives or PDFs of the contents. No free original pattern archives either.

Nothing but wall to wall, and endless, reaching hands seeking filthy lucre.  You would think there would be piracy, given the situation, but no-- No real offers.  It seems to be the perfect niche of "Nobody does that, so there is limited interest" meets "Oh, you are one of the few people interested but you lack the skills to make your own patterns arbitrarily? Weeeellll--- (waxes mustache)-- Come right this way, we'll fleece your wallet in no time!"

I was under the impression that fashion products could not themselves be copyrighted ( Baker v Selden, 101 U.S. 99, (1878) et. al), so I am now tempted to complete my reverse-engineering project, and then make the resulting pattern freely available as a PDF, simply because I find this situation abhorrent.

The most dangerous knives are the dull ones! I dunno what you were trying to force with a butter knife, but yeah, that's how you gouge your hands.

I was just trying to butter my toast

(What actually happened was that I broke the (plastic) butter knife apart by the grip and cut my finger on the sudden edge where I was applying pressure)
