... though part of me hopes such a thing doesn't actually exist. The concept leaves me conflicted and I've never even heard the base sound thingy.

Also it totally occurs to me jacked up and probably distorted fox howls could make for pretty killer vocal-equivalents. Someone should do that.

Before he passed in a totally non-related incident, my uncle made his own (highly illegal) guns. I could supply the one he made for scaring robbers at his farm - no bullet, just a lot of noise. Pretend to off yourself (or them!) and the screaming will stop.

I've had a savegame of DF in the pocket for almost half a year now waiting for a bugfix.

Which is the most anticipation I've had for a DF release in a very long while.

Been watching a bunch of doco's on Youtube this evening for some reason and just went back to one I meant to watch ages ago (before losing all my tabs), a documentary on Obsessive-compulsive disorder. It actually turned out to be about a severe form of the disorder known as "Pure O", and at first I felt like some lightweight poseur sitting here with my garden-variety OCD, but before long I began to relate to more and more of what the subjects were describing and it became too uncomfortable to watch.
All my current obsessions started buzzing in my head and it felt as though some of the old, long-lost ones were thinking of making a comeback.   
Like the rogue's gallery of a comic book reunited for a special edition, or demons summoned by some foolish mortal daring to speak their name.   



Yeesh. Weird feeling. Although at the same time, it also feels kinda nice to see folks talking about the condition... I've read a fair bit about OCD over the years but this makes me realise, I don't believe I've ever actually met or heard from anyone else diagnosed with it, oddly enough.
Oh well! Off I go to watch the other documentary I remember losing in that batch of tabs: a nice, cheerful jaunt through Broadmoor with a bunch of criminally insane types whose brand of mental illness feels comfortably removed from my own!

Last night you could hear one of our neighbors' (no idea which) party, like it was emanating from the middle of our driveway. Very spooky acoustics. It's hard to sleep when there's native american chanting or creepy little girls singing next to your house, and they happen to be invisible. I blame the nearest neighbors shed for making it extra echo-y
