I'm pretty attached to Chrome for various reasons, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I replaced one of my smaller windows with Firefox, installed all the addons I needed (still less than my Chrome install, I only added the critical ones), and otherwise tuned it to be comfortable.

That one single Firefox window with less than 10 tabs uses twice the RAM and processor power as my 5 Chrome windows with 30-60 tabs each. Needless to say, I'm dumping Firefox.

EDIT: Recreated the window I replaced with Firefox in Chrome again (so back up to 6 Chrome windows), Ram usage is still slightly lower for Chrome, and processor usage is *much* lower. 10 tabs vs literally hundreds.

EDIT2: Chrome: 7% processor, Firefox: 25%.

This is almost certainly the most sexist commercial I have ever seen. I. I... Just can't fathom it. How did someone think this was a good idea?

I've seen that a couple of times. I'm assuming whoever wrote it was intentionally being as crazy as possible.

I have 6 windows open.

1) This window. It contain a bunch of random stuff that doesn't fit elsewhere, such as forums, email, stack overflow, github, and all kinds of random crap I want open.
2) Entertainment. Webfiction mostly, but also a little bit of youtube.
3) Music.
4) Warframe. You know you love a game when you dedicate an entire browser window to it. Several tabs of warframe.market, prime part/relic farming trackers, a few useful wiki pages, some maps, ect.
5) Current programming project. Documentation mostly.
6) Secondary entertainment. This one only has a few tabs, and is kept at half a monitor wide. For when I want to read while doing something on the other half of the monitor.

The order of the windows is very important, so I can get the one I want without needing to hunt for it. I even installed a program that lets me reorder windows in the taskbar thumbnails since Chrome doesn't always open them in a consistent order when restarted.

To be perfectly honest, I use tabs instead of bookmarks. Everything is ordered and sorted so I can go directly to what I want, it isn't just a huge mess.

hahaha i've got over a hundred open on my mobile opera browser

until a recent update its open-new-tab + sign button didn't work anymore 'cause i had too many tabs open, i could only open more tabs by opening links in new ones or whatever

i make little islands among the tab sea of b12 and whatnot pages so i don't have to scroll as far to get back to them :V

though my main computer isn't as tab-y as usual these days. only thirty or forty open in firefox on the newer laptop, and not running a second browser on it

Most of the browser tabs on my phone are just various news articles that I was going to post somewhere on here, but never really got around to it... Then again, I almost never use 4G, so I'm not browsing when I'm out and about. If I did, I'd almost certainly have a lot more to flip through.

Firefox is known for many things, but memory efficient is not one of them. Although once you get to know Noscript, it's a bit better (and much better ads-wise).

That's not even homeopathic... Homeopathic stuff is at least diluted to the point of irrelevance and (generally) isn't harmful anymore.

This is just straight up poison.
