id. . . . not trust them?  Id try to find a founder or make sure to include a location.  You need some kind of identifying info to do a good search online.

Apparently 4chan is currently blocked in Australia. Not even by a government order, just our main ISPs deciding to be dicks.
From what I read, though, this week's prime minister is planning on cooking up further bullshit restrictions to enable censorship as well.

I wish I was more tech-savvy. It sounds like it's time to invest in a VPN at the very least, but I'm unsure if that would be enough to get around this sort of block at the ISP level.

While I am against censoring as a rule, does 4chan have any positive aspect to it whatsoever? I only hear about the terrifyingly bad aspects.

From what I know about VPNs, the answer should be yes. They work by essentially masking data. VPNs can get through the internet restrictions of schools, they can even get through the internet restrictions of China. The only way to stop a VPN is to block the VPN itself I believe. Weird probably knows more about that though.
