Went to the power company to have my name attached to the electric bill. Turns out I probably didn't even need to be there, and they refused to put my last name on it due to a lack of space. It strikes me as odd that they were so adamant about putting my first name only instead of last name only.

Getting home, my stepdad managed to smash out the back window of my mom's jeep by backing into the tree that's in the middle of the yard.

I assumed that it was in fact wholly unrelated to pharmaceuticals and the message was about human society's unwillingness to deal with anything that makes it uncomfortable. The happy pill or whatever is just a vehicle.

I think that's more just a side effect of the average digital download time being somewhere in the range of "3 years", considering Australia's internet.

From what I read, if I recall correctly, it was almost banned but some judge decided that it did, in fact, make out drugs (and apparently medication) to be unforgivably evil enough that it could be deemed suitable for public consumption.

You underestimate the media's and politicians' abilities to completely misunderstand things.

Let's not forget that GTA 4 implemented actual consequences for imbibing alcohol before operating a motor vehicle (or doing anything, really), and it was very quickly attacked for "encouraging drinking and driving". Remember: If you physically allow for it to be done, you are condoning it.
