Mate I have two German Shepherds, a Border Collie and a King Charles Spaniel. Or, well, the family does.

I've never been injured to that extent by rough-housing any dog we've ever had, and we've had many.

They do, though. They need to learn what's alright and what's not alright, and that for new people the Madness Mode needs to be turned down to its lowest setting.

They're entirely capable of learning individual limits as well, and which humans like to rumble versus which ones prefer bumbling.

But that's the thing; you have to create that will to restrain themselves, it doesnt naturally exist. Even first time mothers will still make their pups yelp quite a few times before they figure out they need to be gentler. one of our pups this year got a bad nip on its neck because mom was playing too rough.

And they'll still spontaneously bounce up into your face and break your nose/teeth with their forehead. I have yet to get a dog not to do that, and that fucking hurts. It's like they reach a critical excitement threshold and must boing.


Anyway; I came here to post that I got a dwarf's ghost that is haggard and drawn and currently throwing a tantrum. I didnt know ghosts still retained emotions in DF.

Either that or you're all smaller than me and thus within headbutt range, but even then I've rolled on the floor with many a dog. I'll get nipped, maybe a biiiit scratched, but never anything more.

Bought Battle Brothers and its DLC about hunters or somesuch.

The game is great but brutal.

However, for some reason the game froze up in the middle of a four-way between my party, some bandits, some Alps (I'm assuming they're not referring to the mountain ranges) and some kind of yeti-like thing that induced unnatural sleep in my units.

Took holding down the power button to get the laptop to restart.

I really hope this doesn't signal my laptop's inevitable decline from fresh to incredibly slow and unstable.

Any clue on how to cool it down or keep it from getting too hot in the first place? I don't own a desk fan or anything like that, so that's not much an option...

Today has been decidedly less than the sum of its parts.
Got stuff done, bought some books (at least one of which seems to be a great read so far), but just... anxiety was going through the roof earlier and instead of feeling great like I was earlier in the week whilst accomplishing similar amounts of stuff I feel pretty freakin' awful. The only real noticeable difference about today is the weather, and I usually like the rain! It's not like I got soaked or anything, just a nice scenic drizzle that shouldn't have such an effect on my mood.
