Asia is the land of the eats
Well... They're not wrong. dammit I don't need to get hungry again, I just ate dinner

I see that several people seem to be concerned with the importance of objects. I'm still not entirely sure what to make of that.

On the one hand, I managed a plank longer than I've continually planked before.

On the other hand, how in the name of fuck can my abs feel so exhausted, but still cramp so hard for so long?
One one hand you might've fapped too much.

On the other hand, too.

Just because you consider something no big deal does not mean everybody agrees with you, and when you know that that something really pisses somebody off it is basic courtesy not to do it around them.

In this case, my folks don't understand why I refuse to eat anything after they've been gobbling out of the pan with utensils that they've had in their mouths. They think it isn't a big deal - I consider it to be exactly the same as if I went over and hacked up phlegm into it.

I was just asking

why is important important
why is importance important

Yes. Very yes.

Finally, somebody gets it: both generally and specifically.
You are too good to be true, merely for saying this.
At the certainty of sounding but not being stoned, are you real?

I should have expected you to notice and agree, given that you've been fighting just that battle (on a different subject) here for years.

I'm fighting that battle with my kids a lot these days.  It's incredible how difficult it is to get siblings to put this into practice.

Just because you consider something no big deal does not mean everybody agrees with you.
“Why are molecules important” just took on a weirdly worrying overtone.

But if I were to be objective about it the amount of diseases you could catch by sharing a dish are few and relatively obvious (I.e. mouth and throat) and if someone wasn’t sick the change it would make to your microbiome is probably also rather inconsequential.

That being said gross stuff is gross and if you wouldn’t double-dip a chip you shouldn’t double-dip a fork.

I have to say, I think it's better to tolerate the things others consider no big deal rather than expect them to cater to your demands. Now, I would never eat after someone who did that — I wouldn't eat after another person full stop — but it shouldn't "really piss[ you] off". To demand it as "basic courtesy not to do" "something that really pisses someone off" is just not tenable when the set of things that really piss people off is completely open-ended. Without privileging one set of moral opinions over another, there's no way to distinguish that from, say, "it's common courtesy not to get gay married / talk about gay marriage when it really pisses someone off".

Remember everyone,

"Forks go in YOUR mouth.
Not gay marriage, unless you want."

The rule still works. That ole troll logic doesn't.
There's a distinction and a difference.

Observe that Shonus never said anything about putting the fork in his mouth, and that I said that a distinction only occurs if you privilege certain moral opinions (like 'it's okay to care about what goes into your mouth, and not okay to care about what doesn't'), which are neither objectively true nor universally shared.

Your philosophy is supremely shallow.

Furthermore, why are you so profoundly unkind? Everyone who disagrees with you is a troll, to you — I have to assume since you have said as much repeatedly? I have to say that's a pretty sick worldview, and it saddens me.
