My brother and I just spent nearly an hour talking about how beaks have evolved in multiple different types of animal and how many were primarily herbivorous.

School uniform is absolutely mandatory in Russia. At least in my school.

In a school-uniform Ouroboros, in Japan some highschool girls choose to go to a school that doesn't have a uniform, so they can concoct their own personal school uniform as a fashion statement, so a lot of the photos on google images of Japanese schoolgirls are in fact real schoolgirls wearing fake uniforms.

A 17-year-old high school boy in Tokyo likes to hang out with his friends on weekends sporting a blazer and white shirt, the typical uniform of high school boys — not his casual clothes or his school-designated “gakuran” high-collar jacket.

It's on the weird side, but I can dig it. I might find it less weird because here it's traditional after, I believe, the Xhosa initiation ceremony to wear a hat and jacket at all times for two weeks, so I'm pretty used to that kind of thing.

High school uniform for me was basically just a series of ill-fitting, smelly polo shirts that increased in size as I ballooned with blubber.
In hindsight the optional button-up shirts with pinstripes were much more stylish, but at the time I thought anyone who chose to wear them was a total spaz. Dang.

Later on the school started trying to enforce rules determining what pants/shorts we could wear, but the most effort I was willing to go to was ensuring mine were the designated colour: blue.
Apparently that didn't mean blue jeans or jorts. Oh well, too bad. Even back then I had far too much style to wear those ghastly synthetic exercise shorts or whatever they're called. What were they gonna do, send me home?! Hell yeah.
Eventually they stopped bugging me about it.

Nah man, Port Arthur is a largely-untapped comedy goldmine.
The one time I can remember seeing someone joke about it I just about pissed myself laughing, heh. That incident brought about the death of Freedom in this crapsack country so the least we can do is have a naughty wee laugh about it every so often.   

I'll stop commenting on that other thing if it upsets you, though. Sorry.
