A Facebook friend who I met in a meme group is asking me if I want to get into the dog chews business.

Exactly what is the business? The first thought is dog food, but that's a glutted market unless you're doing something unique. Then the thought hit me: market yourself as a personal pet chef that visits homes to cook fresh gourmet pet food for people's dogs, and appeal to the overwealthy yuppie crowd that want to spoil their precious bowwows with frivolous luxuries.

Well, in my experience "dog chews" generally refers to chewy treats for dogs, the kind not only provide nutrition but also entertainment and dental strength, not to dogfood in general.
But that idea would be pretty funny, and I'm sure there'd be plenty of yuppies who would jump at the chance to hire their pup a personal chef, haha.


Edit: businesses specialising in the aforementioned dog chews are certainly a thing, too. For all I know maybe it is a booming industry - still pretty niche, though, and a weird thing for a near-total stranger to contact you about.
Though it would have been highly strange no matter what their business idea was, anyway, heh.

That sort of road madness isn't such a thing in Ireland. You're supposed to thank other drivers for letting you past by doing a mini wave with whichever fingers can be stuck up from the steering wheel. Communication between drivers that you get mentally used to.
I don't actually drive though, I take the train into town.

There are no cycling lanes. I have never seen anyone riding a bike in a town other than Dublin City, and the bike lanes there are few and far betwen, at least to my knowledge.

That is correct and there is a cycling lane from my house to my workplace.  I guesstimate thst I might cut time to work from 15-20 to 5-10 mins.  Bike would work as wrll but I find sitting in bikes painful

We have special bike lanes here in Norway as well.

Everyone still cycles on the fucking sidewalk though, and helpfully pling their bells at you when you don't get out of their way quickly enough. Because heavens forbid they have to detour into the fucking bike lane to get around you...
