I initially read that as meaning Jackson of the S.L. variety, and tried desperately to remember which character he'd played.

I swear, I'm not completely dense if you just give me a minute or two to think things over. Honestly.

I'm ok with trimming the dialogue but he also added scenes into it so I can't get fully behind that. I'm not one of those pedantic folks who gets pissed that they left out Tom Bombadil or didn't stop for a song every chapter, but some of the characters had all their meaning sapped.

To be clear I did enjoy the movies. The movies are good, but the books are a work of literary art. You really would need like, 6 movies to do real justice to it, and back then even a trilogy was a huge risk. Nobody had really done a cinematic universe of that scope before.

It would be kind of hard to hammer in all the dialogue and not either make the movie even longer or slow it to a crawl. They should have included those kind of things on the extended edition (even more so).

Yeah I don't know how I could expect them to do a 1:1 book to movie unless they went all Marvel on the series.

The extended edition was worse in that they included omitted major scenes that had been 100% rewritten into drivel. Like Gandalf v. Witch-King.

I would watch that. I would watch it 9 times.

You could even add ridiculous silly things and everyone would be like "ha ha anime, oh you."

Also if the Witch King isn't vaporized by some kind of energy wave I'm giving it one star.

I mainly watch anime because it happens to be the style in which most cyberpunk is presented, but I genuinely think that the Highlander animu is waaay better than all the other Highlander based things on earth.

The anime is a feature film however, not a series.
