We've been waiting actual months for rain to come and break this heat. Even the stores around here have been slowly breaking down: some have lost their air conditioners and got hotter than it was outside. We had rain a few times, and even a fair amount of thunder, but it had always been really brief and limited.

That's all over. Got dark suddenly when I was eating out with my sister, and within a few minutes the storm broke. We ran home, about a block and 1/4, and we're still soaked through (we even waiting under awnings when resting, to no avail). My shirt's back is dry, the front is soaked through. All out of nowhere. At least it's not hot anymore, heh.

Oh! Bonus WTF! I've been awake all night at yon airport and now have a 2~ hour train ride ahead of me. Haven't even had time to grab a coffee... well in hindsight I probably could have, but I'm not wanting to take any chances of missing the train.


Edit: I think my primary school PE teacher is sitting across from me. Whoever it is, he has a somewhat obnoxious ringtone.

Heh, we had a storm like that a couple weeks ago.  It was glorious and furious, and all that.  When I came in from the pouring rain and raging thunder, my shirt was dry in less than an hour, that's how dang hot and dry it was prior to the storm.

Dry heat is better, of course, since sweating actually works at all.  Recently we've been muggy.  I can't imagine how bad Florida has it right now.

GO INSIDE TO EAT AT WENDYS. TODDLER HATES THIS, AS HE KNOWS WHERE WE WERE GOING

WENDY'S IS OUT OF BOTH FAVORITE FOOD AND SECONDARY FAVORITE FOOD, AND ALSO HAS NO CARBONATION FOR ANY DRINKS.

GO BACK TO HOUSE TO GET OTHER CAR. TODDLER HATES THIS, AS HE KNOWS WHERE WE WERE GOING

STOP FOR GAS A SECOND TIME. TODDLER KNOWS HOW CARS WORK AND HATES THIS, AS HE KNOWS WHERE WE WERE GOING

TODDLER IS PLACATED WITH SANDWICH.

TODDLER TAKES TOO BIG BITE AND VOMITS IN CAR SEAT.

TODDLER MUST BE REMOVED FROM CAR TO CLEAN HIMSELF AND CARSEAT. TODDLER HATES THIS, AS HE KNOWS WHERE WE WERE GOING

MAJOR CAR ACCIDENT PREVENTS FAST TRAVEL. TODDLER HATES THIS, AS HE KNOWS WHERE WE ARE FINALLY GOING

*20 minutes later*

AIR CONDITIONER SUDDENLY GOES WARM. NO OVERHEATING. IT'S 93F OUTSIDE. TODDLER IS AWAKE, HATES EVERYTHING, EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE.

PARK IN FARTHEST LOT.

FORGOT BACKPACK AT HOME.

Fun is had! Toddler enjoys little-person water fun area and subsequent romp through playground. Got to meet Grover. Hooray!

Toddler immensely enjoys watching roller coasters while adults relax some.

SUDDENLY, UNEXPECTED FIREWORKS. EVERYWHERE. ABOVE US, NEAR US, FIREWORKS. TODDLER GENERALLY FEARS TOO-LOUD-BIRDS.

BRACE FOR TODDLER SHOCK-TERROR.

Toddler unexpectedly enjoys fireworks. However, it is now 11PM. Toddler wants to be home asleep 3 hours ago. TODDLER IS AWAKE, HATES EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE.

CANNOT FIND CAR. EVERY CAR IN OUR "LOT" IS ALMOST GONE.

DOUBT MEMORY OF CORRECT LOT LOCATION.

TODDLER IS STILL AWAKE, HATES EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE.

SPRINT ACROSS 3 PARKING LOTS TO CHECK FOR CAR.

CAR WAS IN FIRST PARKING LOT ALL ALONG. TURNS OUT BEEPER FOR CAR NO LONGER WORKS AS IT DID THIS MORNING.

TODDLER NOW REFUSES TO SLEEP. DEMANDS POCOYO.

We are home. Time for sleep.
