Looks to be the recent attack in Toronto. Apparently he was an incel, and had posted that "The incel rebellion had already begun" but I haven't looked much into it yet, and I don't believe that it will go much further in that regard.

Heh, in a slightly more serious tone... I wouldn't worry too much about it. Incels are not a common occurrence, and most people, even if they knew what the term meant offhand, wouldn't seek to brand someone with that label (if only to distance themselves even more from it).

If you're asked about sexual activity and you immediately launch into a diatribe about how the femoids (yeah, that's an actual term used in these circles) are craven and uncaring monsters who cannot cognitively function beyond getting their jelly stirred with throbbing gristle sticks, then you'll be a little suspicious.

But even then, it's likely that they'll just assume you got out of a recent breakup.

Um I think people are reading into this too much. Perhaps in the way the loser psycho wanted them to. Don't become afraid of/of being celibate just because one asshole tried to make it a political statement. Most of American people are more accepting of difference than not. The few that aren't are just loud. Ignore them (unless they're like an actual physical threat to you, then defend yourself obviously)
