One thing which surprises me in America (trigger warning) is that there's so many massacres of country music fans and not of religious hate groups.

Because almost everyone here is so fucking religious, it would become a Huge Deal ^tm because Mah Religious Freedom. Except for when they hate Muslims or atheists for no reason because fuck other people's rights.

That is because of the delusion that christians are persecuted in the US.

They should try moving to some distant country, and then get back with us about christian persecution.

People dont shoot up 'hate groups' because they are not readily available to do so to.  The groups tend to be small and stick to their own turf on the average day.  People attack the demons they know.  The bullies at school or work, those exclusive assholes who passively booted the victim from their societies and circles.  People who cause you discomfort, not those you feel discomfort towards.

You leave the kkk raving racists, not them you.  You feel less social anxiety towards them than the pretty girl at work or that douche at school.  People in the us are overstressed, undernourished spiritually/emotionally, and have no good, healthy ways of blowing off that stress.

We work late, worship the dollar, frown on 'slacking', and dont foster healthy habits.  On average.


It has nothing to do with 'how delusional the Christians are' or how hypocritical people can be.  Or rather, this double-standard and hypocrisy only contributes to the cog-dis that results in mental breakdowns.  Lets not blame the symptom.

So I heard good stuff about the Ritual (a Netflix horror flick) and went to check out the trailer on YT. Searched for the movie and it came up first. The second video in line tho was one of the everpresent EXPLAINED deals that talks about the movie and tells people what they just saw and it also neatly had the main monster of the movie clearly shown in the thumbnail.

When watching the trailer itself that video is also first in line of the suggested list.

Seems you can't watch a fucking trailer these days without getting spoiled one of the most important things about the movie.

You should definitely report that. Trailers are generally bad enough these days, but that's just waaaay over the line.

That's pretty awful, but it's an understandable side effect of search/popularity algorithms.

As an aside, the movie wasn't that great... it couldn't quite decide how it wanted to deal with the various conflicts introduced, and everyone besides the protagonist is either a non-entity or intensely unlikable. Which is a shame, because the film does bring up some powerful topics and has pretty decent cinematography, particularly a couple scenes. Kinda falls apart at the end though.

And the monster design is also pretty neat, you gotta admit.

Pffhehehe. TST is usually good for a giggle, yeah. They've also gotten a surprising amount of stuff done, considering the shock value nature of the organisation.

But damn, that prayer group is creepy.
