Dilution is the solution. There isn't exactly a great way to counteract formaldehyde, so they tried to flush it out. I'm no doctor either, but I'm pretty sure the logic here was that it was the best option available and couldn't possibly introduce worse failures than the formaldehyde.

Anyway, when you remove something from someone you have to place it in a container with a preservative, often formalin.  My guess is that someone mistook one of those containers for an actual therapeutical and either injected it in an IV bag or directly in the patient. Doesnt sound as much as something the senior doctor did as it does as a major fuckup down the line, possibly by having someone very junior do something fairly complex with no oversight.

Got paperwork for a drug test I need to do for work.  I need to complete it within 48 hours.  Required to make an appointment.

Drug testing place is closed today because Tuesday (I guess, they are literally just closed Tuesdays and Thursdays), and they won't make appointments over voicemail according to their message.  Website is barebones and has no method for making an appointment.  I can go in before work tomorrow, but that gives me a 1 hour window to make an appointment for that very moment, get in, get out, and get back to the other side of town in uniform and ready to work, because they apparently close for 2 hours everyday for lunch.

First off wtf are those hours and how can anyone have the gall to say 'you have 48 hours, appointments are required, you must do this in your own time and it cannot conflict with your work schedule.' and then only be open for literally 6 of those hours.  And second how do people not know this?  I'm off friday, why not just put my 48 hours then so I can actually do it? 

EDIT: It's not like I'm being drug tested disciplinary or anything.  It's a promotion drug test.  The 48 hours itself is silly because I've known a drug test of some kind was coming for about a month, If I had to detox or whatever it's called I had plenty of forewarning to do so, the 48 hours is just silly.

Some news sites called it an IV, some called it an injection, others just said "a dose". Not sure what protocol is for this kind of procedure, figured IV made most sense. Then again, they do mention the abdominal cavity, which hopefully isn't what your veins are spewing out into.

And would they be preserving the cysts? Presumably a fluid-filled cyst looks different from a solid mass on imaging, so there wouldn't be call for a biopsy to determine malignancy. Dunno why you'd use preservatives on something that's just going to get incinerated, but I am also not a doctor, so I wouldn't know.
