Nothing like privatising a national service eh?

That sweet 3.3bn will have been put to good use.

Paying for the first three years of private fuck-ups, most likely.

I’m Australian and what is t
T (named tee /tiː/) is the 20th letter in the modern English alphabet and the ISO basic Latin alphabet. It is the most commonly used consonant and the second most common letter in English language texts. In English, ⟨t⟩ usually denotes the voiceless alveolar plosive (International Phonetic Alphabet and X-SAMPA: /t/), as in tart, tee, or ties, often with aspiration at the beginnings of words or before stressed vowels. The digraph ⟨ti⟩ often corresponds to the sound /ʃ/ (a voiceless palato-alveolar sibilant) word-medially when followed by a vowel, as in nation, ratio, negotiation, and Croatia.
The letter ⟨t⟩ corresponds to the affricate /t͡ʃ/ in some words as a result of yod-coalescence (for example, in words ending in "-ture", such as future). A common digraph is ⟨th⟩, which usually represents a dental fricative, but occasionally represents /t/ (as in Thomas and thyme.) In the orthographies of other languages, ⟨t⟩ is often used for /t/, the voiceless dental plosive /t̪/ or similar sounds.

This is made funnier by the fact that when I viewed this page your avatar was of a vibrating angry Descan.

Is there a type of soci-cap where utilities and "basic human rights" services are all state-owned, and all else belongs to the free market?
Because I don't mind that.

Nope. Reasonable political positions are banned. You must either be a capitalist pig or a communist bastard

Social Democracy, not to be confused with Democratic Socialism, is basically that. Social liberalism also fits that description.

Well... are we using the "standard" left- and right-wing descriptions? 'cause anarchists are rather regarded as on the left side of the spectrum, and fascists on the right, too.

There's also the more detailed thing which has a y-axis too, describing your desire for the size of the government. Or how much influence the government has. Something like that.

I'd like you to be more specific in your snark.

Why is democracy seen as a system of government mutually exclusive to a form of economy?

I'd give good odds largely because it makes the discussions involved less painful. Shit's already bad enough with the overly broad junk as it is.

What is the point of the Blechdel Test?
It seems subjective and ill-defined.
Simultaneously too restrictive and too free, it doesn't measure feminism, and a lesbian porno can pass it.
A movie about lady assassins who are not stereotypical fatales would fail if in their conversation they mention a hit who just happened to male.
If they just mentioned their dresses, shoes, babies, and how big their breasts are, they pass.
A silent movie automatically fails.
A movie where they are all talking animals apparently fails.

Oh, that's easy. The point of the Bechdel test is that you can immediately dismiss anyone who takes it seriously, because it's obviously dumb.

I can't tell if you mean that completely, or are snarking at me.
I assume "mean that", but can't be sure until you reply.
EDIT:Actually, on second thought, only reply specifically if you were snarking at me.
