My new job has their inventory on a separate system from their sales. I get to scan items into both systems and shit. And the inventory system runs on windows, which is emulating an operating system from 1978. It is command lines and function keys all the way. I am totally lost trying to remember all of our procedures for everything

The gas pumps were purportedly installed in 1922 or some shit and have been modified, but not replaced, twice since. It took 3 of us 20 minutes to get the receipt printer to accept a new roll of paper.

At least im not dying of exhaustion/dehydration from DONT STOP WORK FASTER DO IT NOW. Thats a bonus.

That came out and got big just as I mostly stopped watching many kids' movies... I remember seeing McDonald's toys based on it and references to it everywhere and not being in the loop.

We also passed Peak Disney long ago. While Aladdin, Lion King and Little Mermaid all did well, there were tons of more forgettable Disney movies from 1995-2000, so Emperor's New Groove comes out, and the market was tired by that point of the recent glut of samey films they were churning out.

I think the last one I watched was WALL-E. Actually by Disney themselves would be Mulan I think. I do also have a bit of a hangup with non-2d movies not counting as proper Disney movies but that's because I like seeing all the effort that goes into cell animation and painted backgrounds.

My preference for cell animation and painted backgrounds does not diminish the work that goes into other methods such as 3D modelling or animation.

Is that the one where the emperor is an ass (donkey) or is that another movie?  I was too old to watch it as well.  Things I heard of it sound amusing though.

EDIT: Just looked it up, it was a llama, not a donkey.  Oh well, a llama is just a lovechild of a sheep and a giraffe conceived at a donkey's house, so I'll still consiter myself right.
