The quoted bit from the article specifically talks about modern cannons also employing muzzle brakes redirecting some of the gas rearwards. Yet, you react as if it said that all cannons had muzzle brakes redirecting all of the gas rearwards. I.e. you're just not understanding what was written.

I’m well aware of the fact that not all tanks have muzzle brakes. Sometimes, even venting gases to the side is too much (plus it can cloud your vision). Also, certain ammo types are incompatible with muzzle brakes.

My problem is that the article doesn’t even briefly mention redirecting gases sideways. There are no backwards muzzle brakes without a sideways component, but there are several sideways muzzle brakes without a backwards component. It’s like saying that the reason why water droplets stick to surfaces so easily is because of London dispersion forces. Sure, they do help but are you really going to talk about water’s adhesive properties without mentioning hydrogen bonds?

As a child? Definitely. As an adult? You'd probably feel like you expected everything. The songs are good and the animation itself is pretty damn splendid though, if you like watching for the sake of such things. The scar/hyena nazi routine is probably one of the best song numbers in Disney history.

And, more importantly, the whistling chicken man bard and one of the few bits of whistlin' you see in animation/film/whatever _{I'm not saying it's been sitting in my playlist since however many years ago it occurred to me someone would have made a mp3 of it, but I'm not saying it hasn't, either}. It's overall pretty great imo, particularly for that era of disney animation.

Also lion king's totes a'ight. Would kick it out of bed in the morning 'cause that'd be starting to get weird no matter how much nala/simba/etc. porn there is, but it could crash on the couch or somethin'.

A friend and I got into a silly mood and messed around (using find/replace in notepad) with the Star Trek TNG script "Deja Q" where Q becomes human.

We changed all the characters to various bandits and bandit-name derivatives from Skyrim, and the sets to various spots around a mundane bandit camp. Mentions of high technology have been replaced mostly with various horses and low-tech objects. This makes it a story about Bandit Wizard's asshole pranks and the attempt of a regular bandit camp to restore the moon's orbit around Nirn using nothing but farming equipment and whatever they can find in/near the loot chest.
