Why exactly in 3.5 DnD do Titans have a higher challenge rating than the tarrasque?

For one thing:

Titan:

Spell-Like Abilities
At will—chain lightning (DC 23), charm monster (DC 21), cure critical wounds (DC 21), fire storm (DC 24), greater dispel magic, hold monster (DC 22), invisibility, invisibility purge, levitate, persistent image (DC 22); 3/day—etherealness, word of chaos (DC 22), summon nature’s ally IX; 1/day—gate, maze, meteor swarm (DC 26). Caster level 20th. The save DCs are Charisma-based.

In addition, titans of good or neutral alignment can use the following additional spell-like abilities
At will—daylight, holy smite (DC 21), remove curse (DC 21); 1/day—greater restoration. Caster level 20th. The save DCs are Charisma-based.

Titans of evil alignment can use the following additional spell-like abilities
At will—bestow curse (DC 21), deeper darkness, unholy blight (DC 21); 1/day—crushing hand (DC 26). Caster level 20th. The save DCs are Charisma-based.

That DC matters a lot when you're playing a Necropolitan, or you're a necromancer with multiple undead servants. When using cure offensively, that DC is a very important number to know.

The Tarrasque is slightly tricky to keep dead, but it's still basically just one big monster.

A Titan has options, and a smart DM can do terrible, terrible things with one.

And you can heal undead with an inflict spell.

I kinda figured that you can heal undead with inflicts like damn nilbogs since the heal harms them.

Its fairly common among most game systems for healing spells to harm undead (and usually something like necrotic spells to heal them). Warcraft III has it, Final Fantasy X has it, Divinity Original Sin 2 has it, and plenty others that I haven't seen myself have those mechanics.

And it does make some sort of sense that Life magic harms the dead while Death magic heals the dead (and vice versa).

Yeah, I thought it was fairly standard for undead to be weak to healing magic or at least the type of magic that the healing magic is from while being immune to the opposite and sometimes healing from it or from poison.

Not gonna look for it right now, but it's so common that I'm pretty sure it has its own trope.

Heck, it's not even a modern thing.

Wow, that's definitely a WTF, heal has typically harmed zombie types in games since at least the 1980s..., but not why I cam here.

Why I really wanted to post:

When you've repeatedly told one of your project managers that he needs to allocate a dedicated resource to a project instead of trying to find an hour here or there from various people, and he still keeps getting frustrated when various issues are not getting resolved.  Especially when all potential resources are already at least double-booked as it is.  And when you've explicitly said "You need to set up a resourcing plan now, because trying to get a resource to fight a fire is about impossible" was met with "well we'll cross that bridge when we get to it."  And we've been on the bridge for two months already.

Also, I discovered that my parents had been rummaging around under my bed. Currently, all there is down there is an empty box, but I do plan on putting stuff down there later, stuff I'd rather they not go through.

I'd recommend storing a tightly-sealed canister of high pressure skunk smell under there.
