Firefox (Chrome chokes and dies on well fewer) and reasonable amounts of RAM. The latter is also probably why I (almost) never get seriously low FPS in DF. "Reasonable" is here defined to mean "at LEAST 12GB".

I keep tabs open on like news websites or B12.

I always close 'em if I'm done using the computer though.

Another thing to remember is that if something is bookmarked, you only need to type a couple of letters of the address into the address-bar and it auto-completes it for you. That's how I open most things I'm looking for. Bay12 is just typing "b" and enter, done. Then I don't need to worry about managing history either, I can just clear that and still get hotkeys for things I want basically.

I don't have my laptop with me currently, but I usually have a ridiculous number of tabs open. Generally I can sorta vaguely remember where a particular thing was amongst the mess, and thus find it more easily when I want to go back to it.

Firefox crashed. Isn't the first time it did that. But this time it crashed so hard it wiped the entire session of 40+ tabs, some of which went back months. So that's fun, also a possible reason to get myself a new browser.

Probably too late, but restore previous session? I kill Firefox at least daily to free memory, then restore. Last time I accidentally overwrote the restore was painful... and now I run multiple windows for organizing, it'd feel even worse. I think I made a group bookmark as backup but I don't trust it.

You need to get your priorities straight, son. You can print off the fan faction, bookmark the fanfiction, save the fanfiction to a word document. The game is alpha and omega.
