Q is very flat at first but he gets expanded a LOT from his first appearance in TNG onward. The Voyager Q episodes are really fun.

One of the TNG novels retcons Trelane as a baby Q (the species, not the character), and deals with Q (the character) being assigned to train him. Trelane winds up trying very hard to destroy three timelines (the main ST: TNG universe, the Klingon War timeline seen in Yesterday's Enterprise, and one in which Jack Crusher is in command of the Enterprise-D instead of Picard), and causes significant disruption.

No because you do not evacuate during a shooting. Standard procedure is shelter in place. And saying it's a drill when it is not is also very stupid, least of all because it would only increase panic once people figured out it's not a drill. Actually, you never say it's a drill at all, even when it is a drill.

Can confirm, had a billion fire drills in our school and we never knew.

It was probably because my dorm was blatantly not up to the fire code.  The building was old and repurposed, so it was almost certainly grandfathered in with the city's knowledge, but that doesn't make it any less safe.  12 stories, only real access was elevator.  Aside from the elevators there were two tiny spiral staircases (as in, one person can go down at a time).
