I know, right? It's so great. It throws the entire rest of the movie into question. I mean, I know who I was rooting for through most of the movie, riiiiight up until that point, and then I don't know *what* to think anymore.

Had to spend four hours solving a computer problem for a friend today. The obnoxious part is that I knew what the problem was (he lost power while Windows was applying updates, which corrupted the registry, preventing Windows from booting) within minutes of looking at the thing, and the actual fix (booting into command prompt and restoring a few critical files from autobackup) only took twenty minutes. The rest of the time was spent trying to figure out how to apply the fix - for some reason the recovery mode you need to enter from a normal boot to get to the command prompt lacks a few basic features - like USB support, and his motherboard doesn't have a PS/2 connector for a keyboard.

Heh, you type in gynoid in google, then it shows you a link to wikipedia's "Fembot" article, then after clicking that it takes you to wikipedia's "gynoid" article but says "(Redirected from Fembot)".

Gynoid might be "more correct" by some mistaken belief system except it's just wrong because it's counter to how people use the terminology. "Female android" is no more an oxymoron than saying "Mankind" to apply to all humans.

And it's understood to mean what it means. We don't need extra useless words like "gynoid". It's not in any legitimate dictionaries because the idea of needing that word is dumb.

I didn't say I didn't understand it.

I said I like how it fucked with expectations and threw me for a loop in terms of who I was rooting for.

That's not me not understanding it and I don't need to read the wikipedia page about the plot to know what was going on. :/
