I seem to have lost access to very specific sites on the internet. Facebook and google in particular, along with an SSH connection to a server I was doing some work on. Thankfully I had my work saved before it happened.

But Bay12 works? Huh, that happened to me too a while back. Maybe it's something about https being messed up, but http still working? This is a fairly primitive site, after all.

I just wish spam actually advertised things instead of just saying a bunhc of buzzwords. Bigger chance of me buying their stuffs if I know what the hell they're even selling.

A spambot that recognizes posts that were not made in reply to a previous post*, and then reposts them in the same thread**.


*For example no posts that contain a quote, or that begin with 'But' or 'You see', or that contain a user's name, or that contain proper nouns that occurred in the previous ten posts.

**For obvious reasons this would work best in the happy and sad threads, but science or religion might be sustainable too.

What do you mean? This is all hypothetical of course, I'm sure Hans would never even consider hurting someone, and even if he did hypothetically hurt this alleged person, there were certainly extenuating circumstances that explain everything.

I've never read Stephen King's 'It', not have I seen the film. But seeing how the remake is now floating around the interwebz and making a buzz, I figured I'd read the plot of the book on the wikipedia to get an idea what it's all about. And there I found that at one point this happens:

After the battle, the Losers get lost in the sewers until Beverly has sex with all the boys to bring unity back to the group.

Like, what? Out of the blue a paedophiliac jerk-off fantasy? A gangbang to save the day? What the F? How does one even get the idea?

Buuuut, beverly came from a bad marriage, iirc.  She was essentially trailor trash as a result of her fathers abuse (probably sexual as well).

weird said on the other thread that this is actually a sort of Google bomb. It's not just this site; the bots are trying to make Google correlate the sites the bots are posting on with the casinos they're advertising.

Apparently, the true author of My Immortal has come forth. She apparently went through a very troubled childhood and has written a book about her experiences. The publisher supposedly vetted her for three days, and she provided a number of details only the author would know.
