Fried tofu would probably be better actually, something spicy would hit the spot.  In fact I have some tofu bricks and leftover fast food spice packets (which are largely soy themselves)...

Well humans generally eat vegetables alive and then act like it's way more morally superior to do so than humanely slaughter an animal and cook it to be super sure it's 100% dead before we eat it. So no, he/she would probably rather devour the potatoes young in front of it, then rip out their still living vital organ analogous to a heart and make it watch them consume it's life force with it's last agonized moment of life.

What? I cook, like, 99% of my vegetables. Also it doesn't count for fruit, because fruit wants to be eaten, they get off of it. Pervy tomatoes.

It's a test that non-native English speakers have to take to go into English-speaking universities or take English-speaking jobs.

Kind of disorienting to see that something which is such a big fact of my life can go unnoticed by most people in the world.

International English Standard Test. 

If you want to work in healthcare in UK or Ireland and your mother tongue isnt English, you need it.

In theory anyway.  I do have it, for the record  (7.5), but as it turns out, if they're pressed for specialized staff,  they are willing to accept others.

Anyhow, it's probably more important for people outsidethe EU.


It's not like it's a hard exam anyway.  My lowest score was in writing because I disagreed with the topic given to us, and I still got a good score

More of a "WTF?!":

The sheer lack of office chair product information from retailers and outlets in this country. Do they not think it would be germane to list both the price and a weight limit? And not just a test limit, but the breaking limit.

It feels like such a gamble, throwing hundreds of €'s away on a chair that might break within three months.

And warranty probably doesn't cover an exceeded weight limit.

My mother had a couple of beers before coming to pick me up from work, and decided to have someone else drive with her. Ordinarily that'd be the smart thing, except she chose her manic-depressive friend, who also drives like a crazy person and has anxiety problems around heavy traffic. That wasn't such a great idea in hindsight, especially since most of the time my mom conceals a beer in the cup she normally puts tea in.

Yes. I've commandeered the British term for such establishments, since it is both more convenient and less... meat-y than saying "fish and chips shop". I never realised how good battered and deep-fried spring rolls would be.

Don't get me started on the burger. Sweet chilli sauce and an added slice of beetroot for eighty cents... that shit was freakin' heavenly. Damnit, now I'm making myself hungry. I think I  might eat there later on, to make up for missing out last night.

Fresh addition to my previous wtf: I think my housemate's family might still be here. I'm not entirely sure but I shall remain on high alert for now. If that does turn out to be the case... dear gods. Might have to go hide out at a friend's place playing videogames, 'cause ain't nobody got time fo' that.
