I have a news feed at work, and the headlines taken literally have been amusing in the last few days. Pasted from my feed:

Is there some kind of war against sentient food? Are we winning? Is fire their only weakness?

OK, so George Clooney is planning to sue a French magazine for infringing on his privacy (supposedly a photographer went over their fence and climbed a tree to get pictures of his children through a window). The defence of the magazine is, almost literally, "Oh come on, people want to see these pictures and it didn't physically hurt them!"

What the fuck kind of defence even IS that?

He's a public figure and it's obviously within the public interest for people to know what his kids look like through a window and a long-focus lens.

Also was talking to some eighteen year old today and I asked him if he knew who Harrison Ford was, and he was like "the dude who invented the factory line"?
Not sure if I should be proud or ashamed.

I find it amazing how many people there are dedicated to shaming people for how they sit.

Not like slouching, bad posture, or harassing anyone.

But there are people who will go over how you sit and say your a bad person because you lean back too much, you fold your arms, or you spread your legs (at all). Some of these which can get you kicked out of places or arrested!

Why are people SOOOO dang overfocused on how people sit? "Ohh its a power stance they are trying to control you" well here is the secret to "Power stances": They are power stances because they either show a lot of interest in the person you are talking to (Leaning in) or are showing that you are relaxed (Leaning back).

I can't believe there are non-verbal communication police...
