I felt low right side abdominal pain. Not appendix because I could press on it....also some scattered ab pain ... worse when walking.... General practitioner said inguinal henia, no bending or lifting and I had to have surgery. That was colon in there and without op...if I didn't I could loose a testicle or some intestine.....

Surgical consult ... He confirms 1sr Dr.'s story.... calls it fat.... (awfully long intestine shaped fat?). He basically shoves it back in me... hernia reduction....Says he can do a small incision rather than larproscopic for a one sided rather than two sided one.... recovery won't be bad.

Wtf?

I've heard every horror story about this recovery.....how is this.... he also can't tell.me the source of the pain if it isn't the hernia.....it hurts bending or getting out of bed or lifting.....

Abdominal CT.....

He'll make the appointment..... wtf?

I'm trying to plan this shit around my job too.... no one seems to care..... can't give me dates....

I just found out the whole "SJW University protests" BS, or what I thought was BS, where students advocated for segregation and things like that...

Was real... and wasn't like... a "Extreme supreme minority" thing either...

I mean I know people protested against Kimonos in a museum... Yet that was typical "We speak for minorities because we don't want them to speak for themselves" type sensitivity. Yet... Goodness... What I saw was horrible (and I mean horrible... Like... A new type of racism being born that I know we will have to combat some day)

As a disclaimer: My use of SJW is meant to be that it is how I am hearing about it. That some "SJWs" are doing something, which I scoffed off at first because of how that term is used. Only to find out that the claims, the stupid ridiculous claims, are true!

Yeah but I always suspected it was overblown or much smaller than it actually was.

I didn't think it was getting to Race Riot levels minus the Riot.

I didn't think I'd actually have to seriously consider Caucasian-phobia instead of it simply being that people should give each other common courtesy and that vilifying even an antagonistic source can be counter productive.

It is because discrimination will often wear the clothes of whatever is progressive or wholesome of the time.

This is because with few exceptions people who have serious discrimination against people feel justified in that discrimination because they USUALLY have justification for it.

As a down to earth example the MRA use the same tools as Feminists in order to argue the exact opposite things.

I still maintain that progressivism has suffered an overflow error. The value of progression got too high and pulled a Nuclear Gandhi.

I wonder if the SJWs are the opposite of something in the same way MRAs are opposite of Feminists. But what would SJWs be opposite of?

Now I am speaking out of my ass so I warn you.

MRA are either a counter movement to third wave feminism and/or a continuance of the sort of male based ideology that existed since the 50s and onward.

SJWs I feel are a product of our current teachings. That we were a racism filled society that just accepted the racism and allowed it to go on. Until one person stood up and said "No!" (Racism can be replaced by any ism)

So you have a framework that a evil exists if we abide by it and that systematic evil is the most.

This isn't a bad concept in it of itself and is a good lesson. Yet "Temperance" is a cardinal virtue and is thus based on achieving a balance between action and inaction around specific situations.

To complicate this further our teachings has both victims and victimizer. Victims are typically poor downtrodden minorities or powerless voiceless women. Victimizers are typically Rich White Straight and Male OR just a vague "everyone else". So you have a teaching that is overall a "Us against them" mentality.

Victims are considered, by virtue of being victims, to be innocent. While Victimizers are considered to be victimizers on the basis that victims exist, a sort of collective responsibility. Victims are only "freed" from being victims when they are equal to the victimizer.

NOW!!! Once again any one of these details are not a bad thing. It is where one can take them without the wisdom to think it out.

Taken well our society is about questioning your environment and doing what you can to make sure that you stop or at least do not perpetuate an evil... and that we should uplift and stand beside the disenfranchised and even question what powers those on top should have.

Ultimately SJWs, as a whole, want the same thing as most of us here: They want minorities to be equal members of society. Their ideas are, however, that Minorities are constant victims and need direct protection from the majority... and with no clear goal on what equal representation is.

I feel like their overall philosophy is destructive and segregating. When I want society to create communities and build bridges between them.

I think his point was that 'you not getting murdered because of how active your melanin is' is a good start, as it seems this happens in places.

Maybe how they're being seen and expressed by some people? Or if people go for help to one area or group, but are denied?
I'm not familiar with that as in my locality, we're all pretty okay with literally everyone else (just that there's n part, lacking knowledge, but not an intent to lack knowledge)

It stems from the dangers of listening to people because of how they speak rather than what points they make. Speech patterns is one of the main expressions and "tells" of identity and group-belonging, and for a lot of people today, politics is a lot more about identity than actual ideology (as a socialist, I see that a lot - he'll, I might even be doing it myself right there). It's more about belonging to a group and what you signal to other people and what other people signal to you. If people express themselves correctly and send the right signals then they are listened to, and if they express themselves wrong they are simply brushed off or rejected, regardless of what they're actually saying. We saw this in action here on the forums when Reelya put forth criticism against the "college sjw culture" made by an actual professor, with a history of left wingism, who had under attack by it, and the discussion degenerated from the points made to a rhetoric argument on whether Reelya used the correct phrasing and could be taken seriously.
