No snow on the coast, luckily. It is quite colder than last week, but the weather is fair. The coastal climate is being favourable, for a change.

Snow in May is rather odd, if not unheard of. I doubt (well, hope) that it will not last for very long.

We're having a pretty cold spring here in the Netherlands as well. Temperatures around freezing point at night only a couple of days ago. My garden disapproves.

Ok here is something: The lighting in almost ALL fast food restaurants... give me a headache and sometimes they even have a high pitch squeal (Which I can hear but no one else can)

Fluorescent lighting, probably. I forget why, but it does flicker, and you're probably just a bit more sensitive to it than most.

Plasma whine.  I hear it too.  And transformer whine, current whine, and CRT pulse.  The reason the lighting is so bad in those public spaces is due to cleaning priorities, the light panel is extremely far down the list, as is replacing old tubes (but once they burn out they normally get replaced immediately).

The worst was when it was flickering too fast to see (if that makes any sense).
