I'm actually excited in a small way for my appointment at my job agency later, 'cause they have free packets of biscuits for customers in the lobby.

What kind of biscuits?

These ones?

Or perhaps these ones?

No, biscuits, not those horrifying, doughy, mutant scone abominations in the top picture.
The second picture is accurate. Those aren't the exact biscuits that are on offer, but I shall attempt to get a photo later if my heist is successful.

Hey your loss, [scones] are the best.  Though I guess it depends whether you prefer crunchy or chewy.

And congrats on the appointment.  Whas is "pov" life?

Poverty, if he's livin' on noodles and eggs and contemplating breaking the social contract omg by taking too many biscuits at a job agency.

Or something something Australia something former penal colony something something :P

Yay stereotypes.

No, I have tried those so-called "biscuits" and they are certainly not scones.
Scones are quite nice, although even they would likely suffer at the hands of you 'Merican types and your strange culinary habits.
Probably the lowlight of my US trip, apart from maybe trying to explore LA at the last minute with my brother on barely any sleep.

And congrats on the appointment.  Whas is "pov" life?
Congratulations are not entirely necessary, this is a mandatory appointment to do with unemployment, but thank you anyhow.
"Pov"=poverty. :P
Having just recently moved into this new place, my funds and bills are still sort-of "stabilizing", I guess, and so after covering the second month of rent (and repaying the loan I had to take from family in order to afford said rent, which came sooner than expected) I am stony broke for another fortnight.

It's okay, though. I am taking this opportunity for a bit of a "detox" kinda thing, as well as fixing my sleep schedule.
It's actually going pretty well! Sleep is amazing! Not just the band, the form of rejuvenative unconsciousness, too.
Less anxiety is nice. Real nice.

Fakeedit: Indeed, what Hector said, although I can't recall seeing anything about biscuit limits in my social security contract...

I wanted to tell everyone that Spies do not exist.

I know that Spies do not exist because I was watching a few movies.

James Bond is entirely unbelievable. People didn't go about with invisible cars and knowing every extreme sport known to man. As well at no point has Russia ever attempted to irradiate Fort Knox.

That is why Spies do not exist.

Sounds like something a spy would say, to me.

Ohh yeah can you prove that any spy is driving an invisible car?

To be fair, James Bond set himself as an unrealistic spy right from his very first flims - he introduced himself as himself, with no disguise or secret identity.

Also, his movies involve a surprising amount of shooting at stuff.

So do his video games, for that matter.

why are you defining spy as including invisible cars when real spies are just people who gather information in n environment that would be hostile given their scheming is discovered

Uuuh it isn't just James Bond

The Amazing Spies and Charlies Angels features three brightly colored female spies who carry gadgets disguised as female products, regardless if it would be stealthy to carry it around (who carries a giant portable hair dryer?).

Do you have proof Spies in brightly colored neon green jumpsuits exist?

That said, I do kinda like super-spies as a genre a bit more than I like superheroes in general.  In DND terms, super-spies are unbelievably "extraordinary", whereas superheroes are obviously "supernatural".  Both are unrealistic, but it's kinda cool to see people accomplish the technically-not-impossible.  To simply be ridiculously lucky and skilled.

Maybe because it invites reveals like "Z was helping them all along!".  I like that level of subtlety a bit more than the obfuscating complexity of superhero comix, along with the simplicity of "X can fly effortlessly forever" or "Y just ignores bullets".
