Jesus. What really gets me is that while this guy was laying there dying, they biggest concern was how to keep themselves out of trouble. They barely even care that they Just killed a guy. The part where they got drunk, fucked up, and got someone hurt is detestable, but understandable. The part after that? I seriously cannot understand how someone operates like that. It just makes no sense to me.

Many colleges and their campus police still will investigate and hunt after people and their friends if they get taken to a hospital while intoxicated. It creates this fucked up adverse relationship with medical personnel and is responsible for quite a few deaths.

It's an archaic form, albeit one more closely connected to the root word (sprite). I prefer it because 'sprite' is more visually appealing than 'spright'. Especially because IIRC the -gh- sound doesn't exist in modern English, so there's a extant old form which is also more accurate phonetically.

On a tangential note, I always get strange looks when I refer to Sprite (the soda), as "Fairy juice", or "Pixie drink."

For some reason, explaining the thought process behind the humorous mis-appellation causes even more strange looks.

Over here we have a law, that if they make you come in to work only to tell you you're not needed that day, they have to pay you for a minimum of two full hours, plus travel expenses (and they have to give you those two hours off on your regular schedule, to compensate).

I read the article, and it really gripped my heart. He and his parents looked so happy on that picture, and he had to die because a bunch of fucking morons couldn't face their responsibilities. It makes me want to punch them in the face, hard. Although this is probably human nature, my classmates did the same on a school trip, albeit to a lesser intent. One of the girls got alcohol poisoning and they told no one. Nothing really happened, but things could have gone much worse.

Anyway, what I came here to say. About a week ago, just when I was falling asleep, I heard my father's voice saying "he didn't want to eat lion-pizza". It was kind of funny, but I thought nothing. Two days ago I had a a dream involving the lion-pizza. Sadly I only remember that it was a big wooden disc, and it probably had some image on it. Why are you haunting me, mysterious lion-pizza?
