Really? So, they're just gonna what with one of the most successful characters they have? It's not permanent in comics and you know it. Especially given we're talking about reboots? Even if we accept your argument, and I don't. In the comics, he was ripped to death by magneto, which would kinda make sense given that the dude is all about metal parts (except if you take the "leeching out storylines" and magneto is all about controlling it..... Even then, it should be noted that this version of wolverine "Ultimate Wolverine" is listed as the ability to "survive" as opposed to just "heal," which is itself playing with things) Tree branch? Tree branch? That's the best they could do? It's crap.

So recently there's been buzz around town for a very tasty lobster dinner, "Pour L'honneur," from the local 5-star restaurant, Subioft. You go to Subioft looking to try it. There it is on the menu, right below the other recently added dish, "Chiens de Garde II" (which, by the way is an excellent entrée, I recommend that to everybody, even though the first rendition of that meal was not so good, they actually improved upon it drastically.) You order the meal and wait for it to come out. About thirty minutes later, the waiter collects it from the kitchen and brings it to you. (He seemed to have had a little trouble balancing it while he was walking it to you, but luckily didn't drop it.) He sets it on the table.

It looks amazing.

But where's the cutlery?
The waiter hands you a plastic, off-white fork that feels and looks like it's part paper or less-sturdy-than-plastic-material. He says it's all the restaurant can afford to give its customers. Wait, what? This is Lobster..? Shouldn't this warrant at least a fork AND a knife??? Metal cutlery, too, perhaps-- isn't this a 5-star restaurant?? (I mean, they don't specialize in seafood, but-- they should technically have had a lobster cracker and special utensils, but apparently this kind of behavior has become expected of Subioft???) The waiter stays silent to these questions. You confusedly shrug it off, and continue to the task at hand-- eating delicious lobster.

You go to grab your napkin and get ready to attempt to chow down with your plastic peer to pe-- I mean cutlery. You realize your napkin is a stark white piece of tissue paper. The waiter brings up a large corkboard that displays an assortment of fine napkins of assorted colors and materials. There's a label on the top of the board; "Premium Napkins." He says you can pay small amounts of money in exchange for exclusive currency called Steel used to purchase and use their premium napkins, otherwise, you'll get a tiny amount Steel earned for eating the dish, which can be used for, say, a used low-rate polyester hankerchief.

Whatever. You don't care. You just want to eat the very tasty lobster dinner. That's what you came for, what you came to eat, came to experience, came to enjoy.

So you try. Some of the experience was rather pleasant, and the dish, itself, was indeed very tasty.

Other times, your fork chipped and snapped and fragmented and broke into the meal, and you would end up tasting that plastic later, or the fork wouldn't properly grab food, or it would just fall apart in your hand. The fact that the restaurant couldn't even provide at least a knife was demeaning. The lack of a proper napkin made it messy at times, and you couldn't help but wonder if paying for a better napkin might've been worth it. Also the seasoning was a little inconsistent, sometimes it'd taste a little salty, other times... was that cheese? That definitely tasted like it. Bleu, perhaps.

In the end, it was a very tasty lobster dinner. But only when you could enjoy the meal itself, and not be bogged down by the lack of real cutlery where there definitely should be, or a proper napkin instead of being prompted to pay even more than 60$ on, say, a silk lavender napkin imported from Japan. And you couldn't help but feel bad for the chef, who clearly made great efforts into the presentation and taste of the dish itself, which would have only been truly realized had the restaurant, Subioft, made any effort to provide better services and emphasis on the quality of the things which accompanied the meal, such as the utensils or the napkins. If you had a nice napkin that came standard, a proper set of cutlery accomodating a crustacean dish, you would have, without a doubt, truly enjoyed the dish.

Later that night, you got on your computer and went on Nudle Chrome and went to Nudle Plus, where you updated your review of the restaurant Subioft, stating that the cooks must be great, but the restaurant itself was not, for it was clearly not the cook that ruined the dish you ate. When you commented about "Pour L'honneur" specifically, however, a random commenter responded,

This made you suddenly feel very uneasy and concerned for the new dish Subioft was pushing to add to their menu soon, "Terres Sauvages." You also wondered why Subioft is even considered a 5-star restaurant at all.

It does hit a lot of notes that bug me. Such as the "subpar package with DLC there to hold things up, because it does a poor job on its own".

Even if the review is completely inaccurate or accurate... I just love it! (I didn't give it a helpful or unhelpful mind you... I don't scour reviews just to harass people... Like you know... people who own titles do)... Seriously game owners STOP FREEKEN doing that! You are there to gauge how helpful or unhelpful a review is... Not how much it slams into a game you hate or doesn't laud over your beloved digital child! And NO! people do not have to give MORE info just because they have a negative review of a popular game or a game you like... They are giving a review, not a comprehensive essay on the objective and empirical qualities bestowed from the heavens.

NOR does a game being terrible for everyone else require people to talk down to a game they love either.

Seriously... Steam users are garbage sometimes... Now I understand why Rotten Tomatoes just a "Did you like it? Yes, no?" system (which people fail to understand the majority of the time)

Yes, a lot of Steam users are garbage, but y'know what? Steam reviews currently are the only reviews which I trust, partially because it comes from fellow gamers, and not just some "professional reviewer" I've never heard about and don't care about. Plus you can't write negative reviews for, let's say, CoD without actually owning it. Metacritic, IIRC, doesn't care if you have the game or not, so you can write negative review for the game you hate, yet don't actually played. There are not a lot of the reviews on Steam which are simply "THIS GAME SUCKS!", thanks to the requirement of owning the actual game, because no sane individual would purchase the game just for the sake of writing "THIS GAME SUCKS!". Steam reviews which are displayed on top of store page of the game tend to be objective and almost always written by people who know a lot about the game/genre/video games in general. There's still a lot of poorly-written reviews, which are either just furious fap or equally furious hate, but most reviews displayed on the top of store page are quite objective and civil.

I've seen reviews with restaurant theme before. IIRC, there was review in the same style about Fallout 4, but it was in Russian.

I prefer to watch the game in question in order to make an opinion about it, or at least read the walkthrough on mechanics. Normal reviews are simply not informative enough.

So I just watched a movie, and was mildly surprised to see an actress from a film I watched just the other night, whom I'd never seen in anything before that. But now, looking at the film's info on IMDB, I realise why the director's name seemed familiar: he directed a film I quite enjoyed a while ago (on Netflix, but I'd wanted to see it for some time before they added it), and whom I actually went to the trouble of reading an interview with.

One thing I remember him mentioning in said interview was his intention to do a film with a large studio in the near future... that film (and interview) was in 2015, the one I watched tonight only just came out... as a Netflix Original. I feel like I have my finger entirely unintentionally on the pulse, goddamn.

Edit: Wait, no, the guy didn't direct it. He just starred in the earlier film and was a friend of the director. I thought he was the director for some reason... this whole thing confuses the heck out of me. There's so much overlap between films made in that part of the world. >.>

For the last few days, I've been setting my alarm to 09:00 before I sleep. I kept waking up a few hours after that with my phone partially under my pillow and the alarm disabled. So obviously I've been disabling it in my sleep. So I set out of reach this time. Still disabled. For fuck's sake, I'm in vacation right now, but I'll need to actually wake up when the alarm rings soon.

Sometimes you have to go further than just out of reach, heh. Other side of the room, in something that takes attention to get open, that sort of thing. All else fails, you can tape a tack or two onto whatever button(s) disable the alarm.

I prefer to go the route Jim Sterling seems to think reasonable and buy every game that I find even remotely interesting then whine that Steam isn't spoonfeeding me and changing my diapers when it turns out I bought a bad game.

Unless it's a Romance language, anyway.  They have serious pronunciation quirks but I wouldn't even call German a jumble.
I could specify "If you speak a Romance language" but that seems redundant here, also I like implying silly stupid things like "Romance languages are just correct".  Though I have to point out the sarcasm because some people would actually believe that...
