Yeah, not entirely. Only somewhere in the range of 2/3rds to 3/4ths of america's younger generation dislike the bastard. Supermajority range, more or less.

The key thing is to not conflate disliking Clinton and the Democratic establishment with liking Trump or the Republican establishment. In a lot of quarters (and not just the edgelord antifas and various anarchist strains) there's a pretty deep disgust with both. For a substantial portion of the U.S. youth in that 18-25 bracket (aside from SJWs, scions of the ultra-rich, actual white supremacists, and the offspring of the deep well of internet irony and sarcasm) the election was a "vote against" one.

talibans are people too, and humanization is one of the best ways to sway people to your sympathies.

And environmental health is a great way to do this.  Im not sure its a super-effective PR campaign, but it adds a touch for people to cling to say 'look, they arent all bad!'

Man the hilarious part about that is it seemed like a ridiculous overreaction to say you want to move to Canada instead.

THEN came everything else... and it is starting to seem... less extreme.

Maybe by the end of Trumps reign it will be "Yeah... maybe I should have gone to Canada too... that way I wouldn't have been thrown in Guantanamo Bay for not liking President Trump" (Man I wish this was a baseless example)

Trump is unlikely to get impeached, shot, or fail to serve his time.  And then he'll be gone.  And we'll have no real contenders for POTUS

As I said it isn't a baseless example. It was a requirement to like Trump for certain people to get into the country for a bit...

As well disliking Trump indicates that you have terrorist motives, so you get on a terrorist watchlist.

And if you are on a Terrorist Watchlist it means you can be thrown in GB.

Thankfully the US Supreme Court stepped in... But of course Trump is trying hard to find a way around that.
