I wouldn't call RE7 horror. I'd call it action that tries too hard to be horror.

I'm inclined to agree with you. RE7 spoonfeeds you all the resources you need to survive with minimal risk, so it really falls short at both the survival and horror aspects.

Yeah, maybe it's just me, but I feel like it's important that as a game, you have to commit fully on what the vision is. An action game with plentiful ammo is good. A survival horror game where you have to manage ammo is good.

An action game where you have a bad amount of ammo where it's high enough you can't be arsed to manage it, and low enough that it's a pain in the ass, is not good.

I apparently consistently misspelled the word "Bootstrap" in a personal project. I didn't consistently use the same misspelling though. So far it's been Boostrap, Bootrap and Boostap.

This is gonna be fun to fix -__- Note to self: Tired coding is not always good coding.

I've played Touhou 7 Perfect Cherry Blossom for years off and on, and I don't think I ever tried Sakuya's alternate mode.  I never liked how fast she moves in focus mode...  Basically always played Reimu for the slightly longer opportunity to bomb-to-avoid-death, and usually for the homing shots.
I'm a total scrub, but I love playing (:

Anyway, her alternate mode is "Time Sign- Unique Type", and no kidding.  It's like trying to actually use an Orz turret.  When you go left or right, she shifts her aim in that direction - which is weird enough - but when you enter focus, she locks aim in that direction.
I'm used to shots either going straight up, or homing, and switching in and out of focus purely to dodge things...  Not having to consider what my momentum will do to my aim O_o  I keep end up with my shots going offscreen.
What an odd character.

I, uh, have a bit of a knack for unfocused dodging, but nowhere near skill enough to even beat Mountain of Faith on normal in one shot. My brother's the shmupper and regularly plays the games on Lunatic nowadays. He's had, err, a lot of practice.

I thought Marisa-C in Mountain of Faith is weird. In that game her options are short-range flamethrower things. They follow you in a line, but if you start focusing they stay where they are on the screen. Totally useless but I'm sure there's some player out there that can put them inside a boss's hitbox and just leave them there the entire fight.

Don't feel bad about being a scrub Rolan. I haven't beaten a single Touhou game, except for Lotus Land Story (the easiest one in most people's opinion). While using a ton of continues and bombing every ten seconds.

I did get to the final boss of PCB once, but that was an exceptionally lucky run. Alice is murder, and so is Stage 4 as usual.

I did "beat" PCB on normal, once, and it was really intense.  Took a few continues (which hides the real last stage, I think).  Recently, I don't usually go that far...  I generally get to the three-sister symphony, then usually make it to the angel-thing above the clouds and die.

I only recently started allowing myself to use continues, and getting much farther because of it. When I started with Scarlet Devil, I'd restart the whole thing as soon as I lost a life.

Heh, scrubs. I can consistently beat imperishable night on normal using using all my continues and nailing every last word.

I think it was you that mentioned in the death thread that Imperishable Night is pretty easy, so your sarcasm is safe with me.
