I believe that the official rules for fighting Cain in OWoD could basically be summed up as: "Don't."

Pretty much.

Though after reading much of his backstory for the game... Why the heck he is even a villain is beyond me.

He did sort of grandsire the Antediluvians. The Second Generation were probably also not too great, before they were wiped out.

In WoD terms, he's a villain because vampires are inherently evil. They have the free will to resist doing evil, but their nature is malevolent. Though personally, I always conceived of Cain in the Cab Driver incarnation: long since bored of everything, sitting on the sidelines watching for those few capable of greatness.

Cab Driver Cain is at the One Punch Man phase in his life, where he's been alive for so long, so much more powerful than everyone else, that's he's just bored out of his mind and wants to stalk his great grand children watching with glee whilst they plot, scheme and murder one another. He's as much evil as a supernatural force, like the tide in the ocean, or a DF player watching world gen

That was Caine, actually. Whether or not Cain and Caine are/were the same person is a question for the ages.

I tried to see how big Noah's Ark would be to fit two of every animal.

Noah's Ark is perhaps the dumbest of all Bible stories.  Obviously, two of every animal would not be enough, as you generally need thousands of a species to have the genetic diversity necessary to survive.  Every species on Earth would have either died out shortly afterwards or be as genetically homogenous as Tasmanian devils, which are literally dying out from a form of transmissible cancer because they're so genetically similar that cancer cells from one devil can "infect" another.

(Adam and Eve isn't this dumb because there are strong implications in it that their offspring had some preexisting population where they got their own spouses, although it isn't explicitly laid out in the Bible itself who those were.)

The "two animals" on Noah's ark was actually digital copies of containing all the genetic information of every species. Two per animal. Probably on floppy disks.

That's a real belief. Actually the idea goes that Noah's Ark contained frozen eggs or something.

There was an episode of Ancient Aliens suggested exactly that, yeah

Let's not get in the habit of calling anything about Ancient Aliens "real beliefs".

Would "that is a belief held by one or more people, living or dead" be better?

That's the same thing, so not really. Let's be real here, what the History Channel started peddling in those days weren't the committed beliefs of anybody, they were getting c-list sci-fi stories based off history and mythology and passing them off as "theories".

A GAME THEOR- no but really the exact same kind of clickbait. Channel bait. Whatever.
