Ok I've been in Suggestion boards a long time.

Why OHHH WHY are there a lot of people who will suggest things that are either
1) Make my game instead
or
2) Yes this suggestion is clearly unrealistic, but I am going to suggest it anyway.

Not to mention
3) I am ignoring what this game is... I want it to be like other games instead, so just lift that game's idea without any knowledge of how this or that game works.

Because being an idea man requires essentially no skills or knowledge. In the sense of "Hey, this would be cool, why don't you and him go do it," ofc., not actual brainstorming discussion.

If I say "money, dear boy", will that sound too smug/cynical? It is true, but I just don't have a succinct way to put it that wouldn't sound like that.

I think I'll donate them a bit of my next paycheck when it comes through. I can always spare some dirty commie money for a good cause and/or a chance to piss in the face of the bourgeoisie (the latter being a subset of the former).

Facebook news sidebar actually showed me something that I am interested in. It's a YouTube video that I already saw about a week ago. It's a strange day when a "Recommended" algorithm actually guesses right. Maybe months and months of clicking "not interested" on sports scandals has finally paid off?

Found the thing I was looking for anyway, though... just had to make my laptop chug its way back through several pages of liked videos. Now I'm being overwhelmed by the amount of good music I've discovered this evening. It's a little bit hectic.

The band I was looking for (turns out they're called Whoopie Cat, not "Kaleidoscope Kitten" like I thought I remembered) is actually playing a show next weekend, which I would have missed if not for being somehow reminded of them by listening to something else.
Seems like the other bands on the bill are pretty nice, too... might have to dress up in some of my non-metal clothes and go along.

Or I could just wear my most scariest metal bandshirt and my most winningest smile and go along anyway for comedic value!
Along with my technicolour party socks for added weirdness, of course. That's always a winning combo for social occasions where I would usually seem incredibly out of place.

Was somewhat shocked to hear that a French acquaintance, at 17 years old and doing a highschool that's supposed to prepare for university, had no knowledge at all about 'The Enlightenment Era'. Simply wasn't taught about it in school.

I feel obliged to point out that a certain degree of ad hominem could probably be of use here.
I mean, I've got acquaintances of my own who are clueless in some major parts of knowledge taught in public education facilities, but I know for a fact that it's them to blame for their ignorance because they are a minority among those with the same background among my acquaintances.

I have no idea what education is like in France, but I hope it's not really that bad, and you just came across a person who wasn't particularly interested in history.
