Huh, you're definitely right about the extreme dropoff for NMS. That points toward a lot of buyers' remorse. More people are still playing it than most games, but not any games with similar sales numbers.

Another statistic: it seems to have gained fewer players than most other popular games during the Steam fall/winter sales. This suggests that the bad reviews are hurting its post-release sales. Another reason not to preorder, I guess.

Anyway, not only did someone place all the trees in Morrowind, someones have, multiple times, replaced all the trees in Morrowind for both mods and full conversion.

I'm sure replacing is easier than placing because you just have to switch the tree models with whatever sort of model you want to use there instead.

You can do that in some, but not all cases. For example, Morroblivion and Skywind are both made in those games engines rather than Morrowind's, necessitating manual or at least coding-assisted replacement. You might also be making something like a plant enhancement mod, requiring you to place more trees altogether to create a better-looking Vvardenfell.

Apparently there is some kind of reddit (and more, CSGO servers have been down for like 24 hours supposedly due to DDoS) war between shitton of subreddits like r/Civ, r/EU4, r/XCom, r/TF2, r/dwarffortress, r/AoE2 against subreddits of r/CSGO and r/dota2.

It's really funny how common that is around here since, y'know, this is the Dwarf Fortress forum. But yeah, most lowerboarders (at least the ones that hang out around the emotion threads and whatnot) haven't played DF in a fair bit, save for the short stint. Major exceptions would probs be Putnam or Gunner-chan.

Aaaand other folks too~
I still play the game on and off here, but something I still look back to because it matches most things I idly wonder about that could help efficiency--like those 'room only stockpile zones' and such.

Test of Time going to Skyrim instead of AoEII was a farce.

AoEII still has a solid multiplayer and competitive scene 17 years after launch. Skyrim is barely five years old and propped up solely by one of the biggest modding communities in the world.
