My WTF is that someone said this:
> women aren't allowed in Starfleet as captains
I can name three off the top of my head: Erika Hernandez, Rachel Garrett, and Kathryn Janeway.
Okay, technically, I could name Janeway, and then I had to look up the other two by the names of their ships, because they weren't in their own shows (Garrett was the captain of the Enterprise C, and Hernandez the captain of the NX-02 Columbia).
Hernandez at the very least proves that whoever said that in TOS was lying, unless you want to believe things backslid culturally between Archer's day and Kirk's.
Also, I don't agree that Voyager was terrible. There were some terrible episodes, sure. It wasn't as good as DS9, sure. It wasn't as good as BSG, sure. It still wasn't terrible, though. Of course, my views on Voyager and Enterprise have mellowed with time. I used to really hate Enterprise. It's not that bad, either. There's a lot of better sci-fi shows, to be sure, but neither of those is awful.
Stargate: Universe, on the other hand... I couldn't bring myself to watch the second season. The first season was written like literally everyone was carrying the Idiot Ball, all the time. Even Rush and Young. Even SAMANTHA CARTER, in the first damn episode. Maybe someday I'll go back and give it another go. I don't know. I'm still upset that Atlantis got cancelled for that dren.
