Yeah, been dead for most of the day. I was worried it was linked to the complete Steam outage that has been going on for the last few hours.

Edit: looks like it was down for about 6 hours judging by post times from just before it stopped working.

Yeah, died right after I went to bed.  Woke up, rebooted server...  and they seem fine.  No table corruption like we usually get when they crash.  Dunno what it was.  Hopefully it'll be stable.

What really makes sense is the original dark energy plot, which was referenced as far back as ME1 and also makes the title of the series relevant.

You can't just mention a theory I've never heard of and then not explain it like that!

The less bullshit version of it is that the ending is really happening, but Shepard has been indoctrinated and all options but Destroy actually lead to the victory of the Reapers.

...Still confused on why ME is seen as bad though. x_x There's space for guessing and it doesn't seem like ME3 was made to be the climax ending of it all?

Doesn't it only pertain to the FINAL SCENE, as in where Shepard gets attacked by that one reaper and then wakes up in a place...it makes sense in a way given several special effects ONLY seen during that time, along with coinciding with what does actually happen given several actions and reflection onto Shepard him/herself :O

So I was all for the Indoctrination theory--thinking that context is only tied to the last part.
Hence why the 'red' ending with ++++ victory points has him waking up in rubble; good things happened, and it ties into the victory point limit. It only happens at high victory points (high fleet asset power)

So I've had this cyst growing on my elbow for the past week...

So after describing the cyst on top of my swollen elbow as a volcano to gross some people out, it finally erupted in the shower. I applied a tiny bit of pressure to both sides of it, and it felt like it just went *pfft* and spurt out a bunch of yellow/red stuff. So after a brief moment of staring at my new hole, I decided to act upon it by wiping off what came out and squeezing the shit out of it. I squeezed and squeezed until only blood came out. Then I decided to lift that portion of dead skin that's folded over the crater and yank it off. It looked like a red artillery crater. But in the middle was a bit of green ooze, so I decided to try and use my nail to scoop it out. After succeeding with that, I kept ripping off loose pieces of skin, and I felt no pain aside from a sudden pinch behind my right shoulder as I ripped some skin off.

Then I stopped my shower early, and got to cleaning the wound. I grabbed some hydrochloric first aid stuff from the closet and poured it on and in the hole, and heard a strangely satisfying hiss as it burned whatever was in there. After a minute of letting it sizzle, I washed it out under the sink and brushed over it with this liquid bandage stuff. Turns out, 2 minutes later the crater was leaking a clear liquid that was pushing out the liquid bandage, so I had to just wipe it away for the next hour or so before reapplying the bandage and being done with it.

The main wtf to myself is that I actually decided to go digging through my own wound, and it felt good somehow.

EDIT:I might be a bit spoily or not, well it didn't happen so anyway.

I think the "original" ending was something that was supposed to done by the writer who was then kicked off the team when they were making ME3.

I just heard about this, and I was reading this years ago.

So basically, ME1 and ME2 all referenced it, the Reapers were supposed to "attempt" to preserve universe because it was obvious it is falling apart or something (?) so they would harvest millions of evolved species seeing if at least one found a way to stop the ultimate end of the universe, which they of course being some age-less species, would rather not see.

This is still a rather derp plot. "Uhuh, yes, I guess, we are an ageless, super-advanced species, should we devote all our resources to solving this end of the universe thing? Naaaah, we'll waste them on harvesting a bunch of primitives to see if they have something".
It's like if human climate scientists tried to solve their problems by catching a bunch of rhesus macaques and torturing them for information. You know, just in case those monkey bastards are hiding an easy solution to global warming from us.

I think it was more about that they save universe by killing off advanced civilizations. It goes something like that only living beings can manipulate Dark Energy but it is very dangerous since it can bring the end to the universe, so Reapers come from time to time to kill off the advanced civilizations that come dangerously close to fucking with it, so they save universe that way.
