I just got a disconnection notice from the electric company for an overdue bill of $33. Not a problem, as I simply forgot to pay the damn thing and took care of it immediately, but I've known people to ride bills in the three or even four figure range for literally years without getting such notices.

See, it's because the algorithm knows that you'll actually pay on such notice, and it probably selects people who're likely to pay up, first.

Or it might just be a random thing, who knows!
