Well, I mean, I'm her boss. So yes, because apparently adults can't be reasonable and keep our personal lives separate from our work lives to avoid favoritism. This is despite the fact that I have literally zero control over any of the things she does at work, like her hours or pay, so it wouldn't mean a damn even if I did favor her over others.

Almost had the last straw and walked out of my own job today. The two girls who were pricing were making unpleasant comments about me right in front of me, as if they didn't see me despite one of them looking directly at me when she said it. I am not going to tolerate that kind of disrespect. I've already had enough of nearly all my coworkers being completely unable to do their jobs properly as it is.

Now that I think about it.. My dad was in a similar situation once.
The solution? He simply fired the one spreading the rumor.
Something about spreading false rumors, with ill intent ruining workplace atmosphere or something.
And as far as I know, that was the end of that.
This was in Greenland though, not sure how it would work wherever Maximum lives.

It's fairly doubtful MZ has much/any control over hiring and firing. Boss in this case probably means supervisor more than anything more substantial.

Not really no. Another check supposed to go through soon, so I guess were just going to wait. Nowhere to go besides work and class, we can all get away with it. My father opted not to ask his employers to send it sooner because by the time they processed the request it would already have gone through. I'm also not asking the college to refund it and wait a week for the same reason. The speed of bureaucracy. Ahead of the game when they want your money, 3-5 business days to even conceive of actually getting any work done.
